Why, you get an Armchair Librarian who loves to share … not only travel books, but also travel documentaries, magazines, experiences and websites!

      Yes, my name is Eileen and in addition to being a librarian at Lindenhurst Memorial Library (for 30+  years) … I’m a foodie  with a zest for life and a passion for travel. A great combination!  My wanderlust has grown as I’ve continued to seek adventures in about 30 countries to date.  I never stop learning and I’m so enthusiastic to share my experiences with you.

       And talk about a “fun duo” … not only do I love to travel, but I also order all the travel books at the library.  So you can be sure that we have the most comprehensive and up-to-date travel book collection around.  Some of these books are also available in e-book format, so you can enjoy reading them on your computer, phone or tablet as well.  From time to time, I will highlight my favorite travel book series and authors.

        So … during this unsettling  time of quarantine, when we are forced to hunker down in-place, what better way to “travel” than to do it from home? Armchair travel is the safest way to experience the travel treasures of the world … and maybe to think about what travel will be like after the Corona virus?  Will anyone be traveling?  Let’s talk about this!
