Music Concert Downloads: Online from the Lindenhurst Memorial Library!

Hello again! This is Peter, the Audio/Video materials Adult Reference Librarian at our library. One of the things I’ve been missing the most during these trying times is the live music concert experience. Fortunately, to fill the absence of live shows, the Library is proud to present dozens of complete concert films on Kanopy, one of the numerous digital services available on our website: https://lindenhurstlibrary.kanopy.com/

Dozens of live in-concert titles, of every genre, are available for immediate download, including rock, pop, jazz, classical and opera. Signing in is easy and involves typing in the bar code number on the back of your library card. To sign up for an account, you will need to enter the email and password connected to your library card, select your home library of Lindenhurst from a drop-down list, and enter your  bar code. Click here for your library account. If your card has expired, you may click here for a temporary card for use while the library is closed. Typing in the word “concert” in the browse search bar at the top of the Kanopy page will bring up hundreds of titles, which are arranged by music genre, including Rock & Roll, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Blues, Folk Music, Music for Social Change, Women in Music, Music Documentaries, Classical Music and Opera, as well as Musical Movies and Music Instruction titles plus more!

There are no waitlists or late fees, and you may start streaming immediately or download to a computer, smartphone or tablet for viewing later on. Up to 10 titles may be borrowed each month, and will be automatically returned when the loan period ends after 7 days.
