Online Health Resources Using Live-brary.com

Live-brary.com contains a collection of online databases, including a few featuring health and medical topics. This can be helpful during these health-conscious days.
One database is Gale OneFile Health and Medicine. It is designed for students and health care professionals, providing full-text periodical articles, reference books, pamphlets, and hundreds of videos demonstrating medical procedures and live surgeries.
A second database, also scholarly, is MEDLINE ” the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains more than 25 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine. “
The U.S. National Library of Medicine also produces Medline Plus, an information resource designed for the general public. Articles are available in both English and Spanish, on more than 1000 topics. There also are links to health topics in over 40 languages.
Finally, Topic Guide: Health and Medicine, prepared by Suffolk Cooperative Library System, provides links to a variety of health information resources.
