Review: Elizabeth Bishop is one of the greatest poets to have ever lived. In this beautiful and pensive film, her poems are given light and love and her life is shown to the viewer with honesty, history and truth. Bishop was not an easy person, and her actions and influences were not simple either. This film is willing to explore her faults and fears while keeping her as what she was, a human being. If you have never heard of her, or read her poetry, this movie is a great introduction to the power and beauty that shaped her life and her art.
