Documentary Review: Packed in a Trunk

This documentary follows the mystery of an artist’s lost life. Edith Lake Wilkinson was placed in an asylum and never heard from again, until years later her niece pursued the truth about her life and the incredible art that she created. Watching someone discover her history, and then fighting to gain her the recognition she earned as one of the foremost artists of her time is a heartwarming and endearing process to watch. For those interested in research, family history and art – this is a film bound to enchant you.
